His practice has a considerable focus on intellectual property disputes, including high-stakes patent, trade secret and commercial lawsuits involving technology companies, both domestic and foreign. During the course of his legal career, he has been involved with substantial and complex cases in various federal and state courts around the country and before the International Trade Commission. He has represented and counseled numerous companies from Asia, including some of the largest manufacturing companies in Taiwan. (He is fluent in Mandarin.)
Peter focuses on counseling and assisting his clients to develop successful IP strategies in highly competitive environments. He was formerly an in-house patent counsel for a large Silicon Valley high technology company, and in addition to his prosecution and litigation experience, continues to draw upon his in-house background to provide real-world practical advice to his clients.

He has handled IP due diligence for many types of deals, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, asset sales, patent auctions, licenses, IPOs and general clearance reviews. He has performed these due diligence activities on behalf of both acquirer/investor/purchaser entities and target/seller entities.
