Before joining the firm, Erich Tzou was an attorney with the law firm of Bingham McCutchen, where he specialized in patent prosecution, counseling, and IP-related transactional work.
Erich had previously worked as a law clerk for the largest intellectual property and general practice law firm in Taiwan, where he conducted comparative intellectual property law research on U.S., Taiwanese and Chinese laws.
Erich previously held managerial and R&D positions in the semiconductor, TFT/LCD, and optical storage media industries and prosecuted patent applications in digital surveillance systems, programmable memory cells, laser manipulation, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), solar-powered cells, on-wafer semiconductor device inspection, electronic design automation (EDA), and database software. In addition, Erich has provided consulting services for semiconductor fabrication companies, venture capitalists and financial institutions in the United States, Taiwan and China.
