Background and Experience
Michael Davidson originally joined Lyon & Lyon LLP as an associate in 1997, where his practice included the development, maintenance, and policing of clients' patent and trademark portfolios. Michael also litigated patent and trademark infringement cases in federal courts, and his practice included significant experience providing clients with exculpatory and freedom-to-operate opinions. Michael has prepared and prosecuted patents relating to medical devices and diagnostic devices, including, for example, gene chip arrays, microfluidic devices, catheter-based imaging devices, pulmonary drug delivery devices, and devices for the treatment of sleep apnea. Michael also has experience in trademark matters, including disputes before the TTAB.
He joined O'Melveny & Myers LLP in 2002 where his practice continued, focusing both on his transactional patent practice as well as litigating patent and trade secret disputes.
In February, 2004, Mr. Davidson joined Vista IP Law Group's predecessor firm, Cohen & Sakaguchi LLP, as Of Counsel. He continues to develop his patent and trademark prosecution and litigation practice with Vista IP Law Group LLP.
